Game Notes

Game Summary

The Baltimore Stallions continue to prove they are a force in the CFL. 30,641 fans saw their home team rout the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this weekend. Mike Pringle scored the only rushing touchdown of the day as he carried it in from the 5-yard line. Kicker Carlos Huerta converted the touchdown — the first of 5 for the day. Tracy Ham had a strong day throwing for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns including one covering 35 yards to Reggie Perry in the first quarter to give Baltimore a 14-0 lead. Josh Miller punted an 80 yard single for the Stallions to round out the first quarter scoring. Winnipeg tried to rally back in the second quarter as Sammy Garza threw a 60 yard pass to Jamie Holland. The rally was short lived as the rest of the game belonged to Baltimore. Chris Armstrong caught two touchdown passes thrown by Ham covering 27 and 18 yards. Huerta missed a 35 yard field goal attempt but did manage to score a single. Huerta made good on two other field goal attempts to complete a twelve point night, the kicks were from 20 and 28 yards. Shawn Jones came in the game in the fourth quarter and hooked up with Shannon Culver for a 10 yard touchdown passing play. One of the big stories of the game includes Stallions defence holding the Blue Bomber running attack to only 11 yards.
