About Acknowledging CFLdb Statistics

I have spent countless time and effort compiling this data to provide it free of charge. While the data is public domain/knowledge and can be sourced from other materials, CFLdb Statistics provides a convenient, findable source for the data and I would appreciate acknowledgement in any purpose you use information from CFLdb Statistics in and of course, let me know about your project so I may support you.

You may acknowledge CFLdb Statistics with a simple link to CFLdb Statistics from any post or page that uses data found on CFLdb Statistics. Printed publications may list us in an acknowledgement, sources, footnote/endnote or reference section. If you follow up research to original sources, credit those sources rather than this site.

Links to CFLdb Statistics, when possible, should be to the page that contains the source material — the league season page, team season page, etc. Linking to the home page, though the data may be there presently, will make the source link invalid once the season changes. When it is not possible to link to a specific page (data gathered from many different pages), reference the home page of CFLdb Statistics. Works that reference statistical numbers should not be sourced to the main CFLdb site. Those who follow a source link to CFLdb will be confused as there is no statistics reference material on that site. Please use common sense when linking to CFLdb and CFLdb Statistics.

The raw data on the CFLdb Statistics is public domain to my knowledge (facts cannot be copyright), but my compiled data, listings and additional information (weather, links, etc.) are not. I license that information with a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. This applies to the unique lists, compilations and ranking of data (hence a dataset format). This license only applies to those using CFLdb data as their source. If you compile the raw data yourself to create standings, records, etc., this license does not apply. Data presented on CFLdb from other sources/parties must adhere to their license restrictions.

Please familiarize yourself with the terms of the license. Adherence to the terms of the license is not optional. Attempts to acquire CFLdb data to use in commercial enterprises (including driving traffic for ad revenue) or without making contributions and improvements back to the original source will not be supported. Scraping the site to acquire data is not permitted. Interested parties should contact CFLdb with data needs and planned usage and arrangements to provide data will be made for approved projects.

I present a copyright statement in the footer in regard to the site design, display and original content. I don't think anyone should copy this site verbatim. That wouldn't be cool. Please be cool.
