The Baltimore Stallions have dominated the Southern Division all year and proved to be too much for the Shreveport Pirates on this day as well. QB Tracy Ham has led the powerful Stallion offence to an impressive 6 wins and 1 loss record within their own division coming into this game. Stallion kicker Carlos Huerta missed his first field goal attempt of the game on Baltimore’s first drive. He did manage to score the single. Late in the quarter, Ham carried the ball in from the 19-yard line to put the first TD on the board. Huerta kicked the convert. Early in the second quarter Ham hooked up with another one through the uprights. The Pirates managed to put 3 points on the board before the end of the half. Kicker Bjorn Nittmo made good on a 32 yard field goal attempt, his only FG of the game. With timed winding in the second quarter, Ham and Armstrong connected for the second time in the game. This passing TD play covered 42 yards. The Stallions continued their drubbing of the Pirates in the third quarter. Ham threw a 30 yard pass to Mark Orlando to open scoring for the quarter. Midway through the quarter Stallion kicker Huerta made up for his earlier missed field goal sending a 36 yard attempt through the uprights. As time faded in the third quarter, Baltimore punter Josh Miller put a 47 yard punt out of bounds on the Shreveport 7-yard line. Two plays later, Norman Bradford fumbled the ball. Stallion LB Tracy Gravely recovered the loose ball and took it 4 yards into the end zone for the score. Shreveport tried to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter scoring 29 points but Baltimore already had a 36 point lead. Scoring for Shreveport was Martin Patton a 2 yard run, Travis Cozart with 9 yard and 31 yard rushing touchdowns, and Will Covington with a 15 yard reception for a TD. Nittmo converted 3 of the 4 touchdowns. The Pirates also scored a safety when Stallion punter Josh Miller stepped out of his own end zone. Baltimore’s only scoring of the fourth quarter came on a 29 yard field goal making the final 42 to 32 for the Stallions.
