MRFU Notes

  • League Formed: February 22, 1892
  • Disbanded: December 31, 1935
  • Seasons suspended: 1916,1917,1918
  • Seasons operated: 41

The MRFU was organized in 1892 and league play commenced with the 1892-93 season. The MRFU typically adopted a balanced schedule but there were some exceptions. The team with the most points at the end of the schedule was declared the champion for that season. If there was a tie, a tie-breaker was required to determine the champion.
