The 1906 season saw an unbalanced schedule in the MRFU. All teams could earn a maximum of 30 points with the value of a win being 30 divided by the number of games scheduled. (Winnipegs - 5 pts per win; Winnipeg Rowing Club & St.John’s - 6 pts per win; Brandon - 7.5 pts per win) The Winnipegs suspended operations mid-season and they defaulted one game to each of the other 3 teams.
