Regina Roughriders place in the 1936 Grey Cup was an on-again, off-again saga. Game was scheduled for Dec 12 in Sarnia. Sarnia had played the ORFU final in Toronto because the field in Sarnia was in poor condition. The Toronto field was not available for the Grey Cup. On Dec 7 - Regina called off the game owing to the fact that 4 governors of the WCRFU had resigned over the decision to allow Regina to represent the west. Sarnia was crowned Dominion champions due to their win in the East Final.
