Ottawa College wanted to replay the game due to the tie score. Quebec Union Executive agreed the rule to break a tie required the game to be replayed at the end of the season. Montreal agreed to the ruling, but Ottawa College, on the basis the replayed game would be late in the season, withdrew from the Quebec Union and forfeited their remaining games. This Oct. 12th game was later awarded to Montreal.
